CURRICULUM

At Agape School of Baton Rouge, our instruction focuses on teaching the whole child in a manner that meets his or her individual needs. In doing so, students are taught with not only their grade and learning style in mind, but also their spiritual, emotional, and cognitive development. Small class sizes aid our ability to meet the needs of each student. Instruction is personalized to highlight each child’s strengths and support areas of needed growth. These intimate classes also allow our teachers and students to form the strong sense of community that is essential to our school’s nurturing environment.

Incorporating rigorous and hands-on curriculums in the core subjects of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies is a priority at Agape. Students are challenged to problem solve and take risks in their learning both inside and outside the classroom. Our curricula were carefully selected based on research, best practices, and their ability to elicit critical thinking skills. A list of curricula used at Agape is below.
