Statement of Faith
1 John 4:10-11 states “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” This fundamental, scriptural truth is at the core of Agape School of Baton Rouge. Students will learn and experience the love of Christ through our authentic Bible curriculum based on scripture as well as through the relationships built with teachers and peers.
Welcome Letter From Our Founders
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Agape School of Baton Rouge! We are a private Christian school serving students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. We invite you to explore our website and discover our vision. Above all, we hope you see our passion for educating children in a Christ centered, academically rich environment.
Agape School began as the “Dream School,” a vision to create the kind of education we wanted for our own children and for families throughout Baton Rouge. We chose the name Agape because it is the Greek word used in the New Testament to describe Christ’s selfless, unconditional love. That love is the foundation of our mission to educate the whole child spiritually, emotionally, and academically.
Small class sizes allow every student to receive personalized attention through hands on learning and rigorous, research based curriculum. Our certified teachers invest in both the minds and hearts of their students, taking time to know each child’s strengths, interests, and areas for growth.
We believe parents are essential partners in education. Strong communication between families, teachers, and administrators creates a successful learning experience, and our Monday through Thursday schedule reflects our commitment to supporting both students and their families.
We encourage you to explore our website and contact us with any questions. We look forward to welcoming your family and sharing the Agape way.
Blessings,
Kelly Gonzales & Ashley Viltz, co-founders
